Your information

Privacy Policy

This policy describes the Selena web alpha at soulbot.life and the SMS service we are preparing. SoulBot Labs LLC operates Selena. SMS and telephone access are not active yet.

Last updated October 6, 2026

Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address, verification and access status, sign-in records, and account identifiers. If you use Google, we receive the identity information needed to verify and link that sign-in. Passwords set with us are stored as password hashes. We send account setup, verification, waitlist, approval, and password-reset emails as needed for your account.
  • Conversations and memories: messages you send, Selena’s replies, conversation titles and timing, and saved details learned from your conversations. Details you share can include sensitive personal information. Share only what you want processed by the service.
  • Voice: microphone audio is processed by speech/AI providers when you start browser voice. Ordinary Selena alpha conversations are saved as text transcripts; audio recording is off unless you explicitly choose to record a website voice session when that feature is available. This does not mean audio is never processed or temporarily held by a provider.
  • Feedback and support: ratings, comments, and information you send us. The in-app feedback option attaches recent conversation text only when you select that option. Conversation storage for the service is separate from that attachment choice.
  • Technical information: session and security records, connection information such as IP address and browser details, errors, usage measurements, and browser storage needed for sign-in, preferences, and the app.

How we use information

We use this information to verify accounts, manage alpha access, deliver replies and voice, save conversations, maintain memories across conversations, respond to support requests, investigate errors, prevent misuse, and improve Selena’s operation.

Relevant messages, context, and memories are sent to AI providers to generate replies and maintain memories. Authorized people operating the alpha may access stored information for support, troubleshooting, safety, and service improvement. Selena is not an anonymous or professionally confidential counseling service.

Service providers and disclosures

We use providers for AI and speech processing, hosting, database storage, email delivery, and authentication. The current web service uses OpenAI, Vercel, Render, Neon, Resend, and Google sign-in when you choose it. Providers receive information needed for their role and process it under their applicable terms and data practices.

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the service and people from fraud or harm. This policy does not promise that provider logs or backups are erased immediately when you change something in Selena.

SMS and mobile information

If you choose SMS and submit the consent form, we store your phone number, submission time, affirmative consent, the disclosures shown, and a request identifier. If you submit without choosing SMS, we do not record consent or save a phone number. This does not change an earlier request or subscription. Requests remain pending until separate phone verification and activation. Submitting the form does not link the number to an account, reveal memories, or send a text. Security counters help limit repeated submissions; the form does not store your phone number in browser storage.

When SMS is enabled, Telnyx and telecommunications providers will process phone numbers, consent and opt-out records, message content, and delivery information as needed to deliver your chosen SMS program. We retain consent evidence to administer requests, honor opt-outs, and meet security and legal needs. To withdraw a pending request, contact contact@soulbotlabs.com.

We do not sell or share mobile phone information or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use and share SMS information only as needed to provide the messaging service, operate it securely, or meet legal obligations. Service providers involved in delivery may process that information for those purposes.

Joining the web alpha does not enroll you in SMS or telephone calls. SMS consent is separate from email or call consent. See the SMS terms and current SMS availability.

Optional website voice recordings

Choose Record a conversation beside Talk, read the permission, and press Start recording to capture both voices. Recording is off for ordinary Talk and never includes your camera or screen. Small pieces save privately as you talk. Finish recording ends voice and finishes saving. Find recordings under their parent conversation in Your conversations. Use headphones for clearer sound. A temporary recovery copy is stored in the same browser, under your signed-in account. Reopen Selena there within seven days to resume interrupted saving. The device copy is removed after the final server save is confirmed, or on the next visit after seven days. Use a device you trust. Clearing browser data removes the recovery copy; abrupt closure, unavailable device storage or device failure can lose the unsaved ending. Saved-through status reflects server-confirmed audio, not just the device copy.

Saved originals are private to your account, with playback, download and deletion controls. Ordinary account copies expire 30 days after recording starts. A separately authorized marketing source follows the retention permission below. Access ends immediately on deletion or expiry; physical storage deletion is retried if a storage outage delays it. Download any copy you want to keep. Recording deletion does not delete saved conversation text or memories. Telephone calls are not recorded by this feature.

Saving a recording does not authorize promotion. A separate, optional permission for a selected recording lets the SoulBot team hear it and use faithful excerpts on its website, social media and paid ads, including edits for length, captions and visuals. That permission does not require another approval of the finished clip. It excludes voice cloning, fabricated statements and unrelated uses. We keep the exact permission you accepted. The current promotional permission separately asks you to authorize keeping the complete unedited source privately beyond 30 days while it or its excerpts remain selected for promotional use, until the team retires the marketing source. Deleting the ordinary account copy does not delete that separately authorized source or withdraw permission. We retain your typed signature name, verified account email, account/session identifiers, server acceptance time, browser/connection information, and audio fingerprints with an application-signed receipt. These identity details are private, separate from your chosen public attribution. You can download the receipt and, while available, the source with its permission from your account. Permission evidence and audio fingerprints may remain after source retirement to document authorized use and handle legal claims. Earlier permissions retain their original terms: we do not keep a full marketing source beyond the promised 30 days without new, explicit authorization. Selected excerpts under those earlier permissions may remain while in use. You can keep using Selena without recording or sharing. Questions or requests about promotional use: contact@soulbotlabs.com.

Memory controls and retention

You can review, correct, or forget saved memories in Selena. Forgetting removes a detail from active saved memory; it does not erase chat transcripts. If you reopen an older typed conversation, its messages can still influence Selena’s replies. Start a new conversation after changing memories.

We retain account information, saved conversations, memories, and operational records to provide the service, handle support, and meet security or legal needs. The alpha does not currently provide an automatic account-wide deletion timer or a self-service account deletion button. Forgotten or corrected memory records may leave processing or suppression records that help prevent unwanted relearning.

For access, correction, or deletion requests beyond the available controls, email contact@soulbotlabs.com. We will verify your identity before disclosing or changing private account data and explain any information we need to retain. Deletion from active systems and removal from backups or provider records may occur on different schedules.

Cookies and your choices

We use cookies for sign-in and security and browser storage for app preferences and operation. On our homepage and campaign landing page, optional Meta advertising measurement is off until you enable Advertising measurement in Privacy choices. You can decline or change your choice using Privacy choices. We honor Global Privacy Control. With consent, Meta receives public-page visits and your first settled membership purchase (time, USD 9 before tax, and a unique event identifier), plus browser details, an ad-click identifier when present, and a pseudonymous account identifier. Public-page requests also expose ordinary connection information such as your IP address. Meta may associate these events with your Meta account. We do not include conversations, memories, recordings, email, billing identifiers, or private page activity. We retain pending measurement identifiers for up to 30 days and remove them after delivery, withdrawal, or expiry. You can turn off pending purchase measurement in Membership or Privacy choices; withdrawal cannot recall events already delivered. Monthly renewals are not reported. We do not load Meta’s automatic form matching or event collection. Separately, optional Microsoft Clarity website analytics is off until you enable Website analytics in Privacy choices. It records masked browsing interactions on our homepage and campaign landing page to help us understand navigation and usability. It may receive connection and device information and use analytics cookies. All page text is masked; account pages, checkout, chats, memories, recordings and administration are excluded. We do not send your name, email or account identifiers to Clarity. We strip query strings and fragments before starting Clarity. You can withdraw analytics permission using Privacy choices; withdrawal stops future collection but cannot recall information already received. See Microsoft’s privacy statement. Signing out ends your current account session; clearing browser storage does not delete information saved on our servers. You can decline microphone access and continue with typed conversations.
